USB Mass Storage Device support?

Post by timofonic »

Hello.

It seems that the homebrew SDK supports USB MSD. Will ScummVM's Wii port support them or are there still some issues with that?

Regards.

It's not finished so I'm not sure at what point dhewg will deem it ready for use in ScummVM. You can read more about it here, though:

Sven Peter recently has applied a patch to libfat called "usbstorage module for wii" (as comment in his blog entry "USB Status 1.1".)

Just another step :)

FAT32 does the trick here, only FAT16 is limited to 2 GByte. Besides, Sven commented in his blog "However, it's unlikely that NTFS will be possible because there is no really good documentation available on it and because it's really hard to implement. Ext2/3 or any other *nix filesystem will probably be possible in the future ;)"
