Steel Sky Save Probs

Hi!
I'm having trouble trying to save my game in BASS. When I hit the start button I just get a black screen. If I fumble around on the (black) touch screen I can find the "save game" option but I can't actually make the game game save.
Any ideas?

I'm using the latest version of scumm and a new R4.

I'm sorry but I've not seen this problem. Do any particular scaling options affect it? Are you sure your game copied onto your flash card properly?
