Problem with ScummVM's MT-32 emulation in Discworld

I am having a problem using ScummVM's built-in MT-32 emulator in Discworld (CD version). I have the same problem with both ScummVM v1.6 under Linux Mint 17, and ScummVM v1.7 under Windows 7 x64, but only with Discworld. Is this a known issue with Discworld? or is there some configuration change I ne...

Day of the Tentacle (floppy version) with MT-32

Does ScummVM's MT-32 emulation need the patched or the original unpatched version of Tentacle.000 ?
Or does it matter?
I am using the floppy version of Day of the Tentacle.

I can't seem to get the windows shortcuts to work at all on scummvm. In the ScummVM readme they give this example: Running Monkey Island, fullscreen, from a hard disk: C:\Games\LucasArts\scummvm.exe -f -pC:\Games\LucasArts\monkey\ monkey So if the folder with your game files is C:\dos\somi try &quo...

Well now I feel kinda dumb. I'd assumed that "Edit Game" was for changing the folder that Scumm was pointing at because it was between "Add Game" and "Remove Game." Having separate "per game" settings will make things much easier. You are probably aware of thi...

Thank you both for your help. I had a MT-32 (still have, but not using it, since my MU90 showed up) and always had to manually set each game. I was afraid of that. While you would have to initially set it up manually for each game, you can do it in the game's settings to override the global ScummVM ...

Anyone using Roland SC-55 or SC-88 alongside MUNT?

If you have a Roland SC-55 or SC-88... Is it possible to configure ScummVM to automatically use either ScummVM's MT-32 emulator or the SC-55/88 (whichever is appropriate for the game)? Or do you have to manually change the ScummVM settings every time you switch from a game that uses Gemeral Midi ins...

Thanks. I'll try the Scumm MT-32 emulation. Would the following be correct? Audio Tab: Preferred Device: MT-32 Emulator Adlib emulator: default Output rate: default Text and Speech: Speech (or can I sellect "Both" here) MIDI Tab: GM Device: Don't use General MIDI Music Do I select Mixed Ad...

ScummVM with MUNT vs ScummVM with built-in MT-32 emulator

Is there an advantage to configuring ScummVM to use standalone MUNT vs using ScummVM's built-in MT-32 emulator? Or vice versa?

Can both use CM-32L ROMs?

Freddy Pharkas floppy version

I have the floppy version of Freddy Pharkas, which I'd like to play on my Mac. I first tried installing it in DOSBox. I made floppy images (.img files) of all 6 floppies and transferred them to the Mac. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to unmount and remount the contents of the A: drive ...

Thanks for the tip about Cdex 1.51, Sir Dave. When you used Cdex 1.4, did it not have the problem with missing the last syllable? I found it online here http://hitekguy.com/software.htm It was hard to find a working download of it with a Google search. Most links redirect you to 1.51 or the 1.70 bet...

That could be it. The Encoder tab has both a Bitrate Min and a Max setting, and I see I only set the Min. I'll try recompressing the file with both Min and Max set to 64 and see if I have any better luck. EDIT --- Nope. Didn't work. I tried it both with Min and Max set to 64, and no success. Then I ...

Loom on Axim x50v -- wrong part of soundtrack plays

I'm trying to play Loom on a Dell Axim x50v (WM 2003SE, VGA type Pocket PC, no 3rd party VGA apps). When I started it up, instead of the intro music, I got a lot of talking that had nothing to do with what was going on onscreen. It sounded like comments I would be getting if I were picking things up...
