I am using the Linux version of SCUMMVM 2.7 on my Chromebook. The Chromebook does not have physical function keys, i.e. F1-F12. I instead have to use a keyboard combo and count buttons until I hit the right one. For example, to hit F7 I have to hold down my "Search" key and then count 7 buttons over and click on that button, which in my case is the "Increase Brightness" function.
The problem I am having is that some Sierra AGI Games I want to play, "The Black Cauldron" and "Donald Duck's Playground", use the function keys as the action keys. For "Donald Duck's Playground" the main action key is F10. So to do any action I would have to hit "Search" (on the left of my keyboard) and then "Mute" (on the right of my keyboard). While also trying to control the movement with the arrow keys.
I checked the game options Remaps and there are no options there to remap the keys I need.
ChromeOS does allow me to make those keyboard keys always be F-keys, but then I lose a lot of functionality everywhere else just to play these two games.
Is there a method of doing this that I am just not thinking of? I am willing to edit the scummvm.ini file if that is what it will take to get these mapped.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
