Steam Deck

Post by Harrispcarl »

Anyone else getting a steam deck?

Ive never used Linux before, or the SteamOS. Is there a version of ScummVM that will work on it? Ive only ever been a Windows user since my Amiga.

SteamOS is Linux, Debian-based. So, if our standard packages will not work, it will be trivial to build.

Actually the SteamOS that will be shipped on the Steam Deck is Arch based, but I've previously run ScummVM on Manjaro Linux (which is also Arch based) so I absolutely don't see a reason why ScummVM shouldn't be trival to run on it...

(I also preordered one but my reservation isn't due until Q2 2022... but I'm not a devolper anyway but definitely plan on using it for ScummVM among other stuff :))
