ScummVM 2.5 crashing on startup

I had 2.2 version and everything was smooth. I installed 2.5 and it crashed on startup. Used scummvm-2.5.0-win32 and scummvm-2.5.0-winxp-win32 . What system requirements have changed since 2.2? I have windows 7 32-bit, 2GB of RAM, Core 2 duo T2370. DirectX 9c, OpenGL 2.0 is as far as the graphics go.

We did not change the requirements. Could you please try a daily build from the https://buildbot.scummvm.org/#/dailybuilds ? Also, in the past we saw crashes related to stray sdl2.dll sitting somewhere in your system folders.

In any case, if you run the daily build, it contains the debug symbols, thus, you could get more information on where and why it is crashing which you could then post here.

Try to run from the cmd.exe `scummvm -g 1x` and then switch the graphics driver to "SDL surface" instead of OpenGL and quit. This should lock it to this setting. Apparently, you have an old graphics card that does not support OpenGL.
