Maniac Mansion - How many versions do exist?

Hello.

I knew that a lot of versions of Maniac Mansion exist.

There are differences in the color and the copy protection.

Some games have copy protection and some others none. I think without protection were the games in game boxes like 10 lucas arts games on one cd.

I have one version of Maniac Mansion, where you can open the door of Dr. Fred's Lab without a key. Does such a version exist, or is this cracked?

When I put this MM version in ScummVM, the display name is "Maniac Mansion" Isn't it normally "Mansion Mansion DOS/English" ??

It would be great if someone could tell me if this version is cracked or not!!
