Post by Amigaman » Thu Mar 15, 2018 2:02 pm

Hello

I have been trying to get the original CD version of GK1 working but always get this error message that states type exit to start game but ScummVM just quits
PC Specs: Win 8.1 x64 MSI GS70 2PC 16Gb Ram
I have tried:
ISO came with the GOG install 610 MB
Gabriel Knight XP Installer 1.03 by Enrico Rolfi
ScummVM v2.0.0
ScummVM v2.1.0 latest Daily

After having seen a 10min exert on youtube of the 20th Anniversary Edition and the awful voice of both Gabe and the narrator I bought the original version which crashes DOSbox so you guys are my last ditch attempt at getting this old classic to work

[2018-03-15 13:37:40] WARNING: Dummy function kDummy[4f] invoked. Params: 1 (0000:0001)! is the critical issue.

Can you please file a bug at bugs.scummvm.org and include MD5sums of your datafiles please so the SCI engine team can identify the specific GK1 version and investigate:
https://bugs.scummvm.org/
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Repor ... _checksums

You just need to use MD5sum or md5deep on the files, not the "reduced size" checksums used for detection.

Thanks. The bug appears to have sufficient detail to allow the SCI engine team to investigate. Please standby... It may take them some time before someone looks at this, especially if they have trouble replicating the issue.
