CoreMIDI label wrong, bug or feature?

Post by LavaDrop » Sat Dec 02, 2017 11:38 pm

In the latest mac build 2.1.0git4-g2ca0235 the audio tab now lists two MT-32 options, MT32 Emulator and MT-32 [CoreMIDI] and no option for CoreMIDI.

Is this change intended?

Yes, the change is intended. Previously it was listing only a Core Midi device and using the first one it found. There was mo way to select which midi device to use when more than one was connected. Now all connected midi devices are listed, and you may therefore have more than one which allows to select the one you want to use. In your case it looks like it finds one a single MIDI device named "MT-32".

Oh I get it now, it's reading the Audio MIDI setup device names. Thank you.
