Virtual keyboard always popping up in Monkey 3

Post by longshadedeyes » Tue Feb 07, 2017 5:33 pm

Hello everyone,

First, thank you for this amazing software and this rich forum :D .
I am currently experiencing troubles with Monkey Island 3 (The Curse of Monkey Island), using the latest version of ScummVM on an Nvidia Shield TV.

As you know, in order to play this game you need to press down the wheel button of your mouse very often: it makes appear a menu in a form of a golden coin, where you can choose what you want Guybrush to do. However, this action (=press down the wheel button for a few seconds, then release) is also associated with the appearance of the Virtual Keyboard. In other word, each time I want to do something within the game, the virtual keyboard pops up… which makes the game more or less unplayable.

Please, do you have any idea how to reconfigure the “hotkey” for the virtual keyboard? I have tried different things in the menu, with no success until now.

Thank you a lot in advance for your help :P
Best wishes.

Very few, if any developers have a Nvidia Shield TV.

It is odd that you say you need to hold the middle (wheel) mouse button to get the COMI "Coin" as it should be the left button for that control.

You may want to look at the relevant code in:

Thank you a lot (and sorry for the delay of my answer).
I finaly managed to do this, by remapping the key.

Everything work so far on the Nvidia shield ;-)
Cheers.
