Unable to Install on MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1

Hi there - I am having trouble installing Scumm onto my Macbook. I downloaded scummvm version 2.8.1 macosx, but when i click the dmg file to install, i get an error message that says:

"ScummVM can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."

Is there another way to install, or bypass that message?
