Error with Backyard Baseball 2001

Hello everyone,

I am looking for help with an error code that I have been getting while playing Backyard Baseball 2001. I have a 2012 Macbook that I am playing the game on. I was able to play the game for about a week before receiving this error and haven't been able to figure out what to do to fix it. I checked other forums and haven't seen anyone else have this problem. I'm not sure if it's a true error or a debugging issue that I need to report as a bug.

The error that I am receiving is:

Any help will be appreciated!

That could mean that your game data files are corrupted. Could you please provide the md5 checksums of all "baseball 2001.*" files?

"Read Error in /Volumes/Backyard Baseball 2001" explains the problems. Your CD is not readable. Try to clean the surface and do not run from the CD, but copy over the files.

Maybe, maybe not. At least one of the followup errors is "Is a directory", which seems like a strange read error when checking a file. And the very first error is "checksum: No such file or directory", which makes me wonder exactly what command was used here.

Then again, I know nothing about Macbooks or Backyard Baseball 2001.
