Just updated to 2.6.1 to retry and when pointing cursor down it auto defaults to the map instead of showing the icons.

The pull up icons are missing from here and I do not see any reference in any bug report from old or current that this was ever reported.
Just updated to 2.6.1 to retry and when pointing cursor down it auto defaults to the map instead of showing the icons.

I would suggest testing with v2.7.0 and/or a daily build to check.
