Simon the Sorcerer - MT-32 instrument bug?

According to Great Hierophant/Nerdly Pleasures, Simon the Sorcerer's MT-32 soundtrack has a bug where the game does not reinitialize instruments properly when switching between tracks, requiring an MT-32 reset message to be sent for each track change in order for them to sound ideal. I was just wondering if this bug was ever addressed? I was about to open a ticket for a bug report or feature request, but there was also the possibility that this bug may have been fixed at some point. Then again, it's also likely that it escaped notice, as it's hard to tell much difference between Hierophant's recordings and the in-game music (if only going by a quick five-minute comparison for some of the early game tracks).
