Dreamweb walkthough

Post by The S69ker »

Good day. I have a question about Dreamweb walkthrough. Is it really necessary to kill the old man to get into Channel 6 studio or is there another way? Only "yes" or "no" answers, please

Based on all walkthroughs I have found, I think the answer is Yes i.e. no alternate solution to getting into studios.

No. I can't force myself to continue the game. I understand the killing of bodyguards. There was the situation "you or them", but to shot an innocent one... Maybe this is just the creator's idea of telling the story of a man in desperation caused by fear of nightmares and total tidiness, who stars to lose control, because he knows that he does really right thing, and everything that blocks his way to the final destination must be destroyed as fast as possible. Such thing I can take

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DreamWeb:
"In the dream that opens the game, Ryan is asked by the master monk of the Keepers to be the deliverer and kill the seven evils, who are united to break the Dreamweb and send mankind spiraling into chaos. In Diary of a (Mad?) man, however, which precedes the start of the game, it is strongly implied that Ryan is descending into psychosis and has fabricated the whole Dreamweb scenario in his mind."

I started the game before reading Diary and wasn't sure about Rayan's sanity. And maybe exectly the fact that he is normal can't make just take a thing that I got to kill poor old man

This is unbelievable. I'd never thought that I couldn't continue a game because of a such ridiculous thing. But I really can't take that senseless murder. May be i could accept a killing of soldier (what will never happen because he is faster than the main character). He is armed and prepared for killing or to be killed. That's equal. But what is about the old man, who works at night and can't wait until it will end and he can go home to sleep (special thanks to clerk-maker Kevin Smith and his observation on Return of the Jedi)?
Or maybe it is some kind of English humour a la Monty Python's " Grail ", when Lancelot breaks into the castle where wedding plays and stars a slaughter without any mercy (just because he gets too exited sometimes)
