pre-0.9.0 testing

Post by sev »

Greetings, citizens. The OmniBrain facility ScummVM Team needs you to do game testing.

As usual, we prepared many new features for you and killed zillions of bugs. That means that every supported game needs retesting.

There are 2 completely new games which we introduce in 0.9.0. The Legend of Kyrandia and The Feeble Files. Also there are few Humongous Entertainment games where compatibility bumped significantly, Pajama Sam 3 is among them. So, please, find your old game media or buy some more and enjoy the gameplay of these classics.

There are detailed instructions on how to perform testing in a helpful way. You will find them at our Wiki page. Note, that the guidelines have changed a bit since last Big Testing Season(TM) which you performed for 0.8.0. Please, stick to those and report on our mailing list, on #scummvm or in this thread.

Please, note. This is not the place to post your bugreports, only that you're going to test particular game, tested it and found perfect or problematic. All actual bugreports should go to our bugtracker

Have a nice cycle, and remember: The OmniBrain loves you!

You'll need an account on Sourceforge, rather than the ScummVM wiki, to post bug reports on the bug tracker. Simply click on the "Create Account" link at the top of the page when you go to the Bugtracker, and follow the instructions.

Right here :D

As Sev said, post those findings here with a short overview wether the game is perfect (not a single bug/glitch found), has some glitches (small bugs, either reported or unreported) or some heavy bugs or is even uncompletable.

BUT: Add the bugreports themselves to the bugtracker, don't discuss them here!

I added that to the Wiki.

Is this a known bug or a newly discovered?

I updated the page. Yes, feel free to post here any notes, just if you encounter a bug, then here you may just mention it, but submit to our bug tracker.
