Testing Quest for Glory IV with ScummVM

Post by Napalmtree »

Gotta say it's coming along nicely. I started a mage thief and have gotten pretty far so far already. Minor graphics glitches, animation stutters, and absent music queues. No lock ups or crashes yet though. Did display an error message when I tried just a pure magic user at the rope bridge. Thanks for finally getting around to the best point and click adventure.

So after all these years... it’s finally done! Thanks to all the people who worked on supporting this game, including sluicebox, Vhati, and myself.

Well done everyone :)

Does the Scumm version fix the problem with save game corruption that was present in the SCI version? And can the player max out their abilities, skills, and spells safely? This may have been part of the problem that caused the save game corruption.

Is the wolf howl missing from the title sequence for everyone else?

I'm using the GOG version.

Found a pretty big, but not game breaking yet bug with the stairs in hotel mordavia. Apparently walking down you float down through the floor and shrink to half size. Goes away as soon as you exit, you also float up to your room. So yea. pretty hilarious.
