Discworld version 3 help

Post by bytestorm » Fri Dec 01, 2017 10:03 pm

Hello!

After buying my all time fav game for pc again I stumbled onto the lspace.org page wich tells me that there are 3 PC CD versions of this lovely game..

Discworld (version 1)
Discworld: The Director's cut (version 2)
Discworld: The Director's other cut (version 3)

And there is also 2 patches floating around online..

disc_up.zip
disc104n.zip

(only the update.bat differs)

How can I see wich version of discworld I currently have?
I read that ppl mailed their CD´s to psygnosis to get them exchanged for free into the directors cuts versions.

I want to find the version 3.. where can I buy it? Anyone who knows how to see wich version it actually is?

Thanks for your time!

http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles#Discworld

The original version had *.gra files. The later versions had *.scn files.

So, it is easy to tell the difference.

If there is any difference, which I highly doubt, you should be able to compare file sizes, md5's and dates.

Your best bet is ebay.
