NVIDIA DRIVER ISSUE FOR SCUMM

Post by robexor »

Found a BUG in the latest NVIDIA Graphics Drivers..

DATE = 09/03/2006
VERSION = 8.4.2.1

For people that ujse flat panels ie TFT , PLASMA'S This driver will sometimes display a black boarder around resolutions below 1280*1024
The way to turn this off is under the DISPLAY PROPERTIES click

1. ADVANCED
2. GEFORCE [MODEL NUMBER IE 6800] TAB
3. DIGITAL FLAT PANEL SETTINGS

Make sure taht the MONITOR SCALING is selected, then you will not have the problem any more.

Hope this helps

"That's not a bug, it's a feature."

Seriously, they have toggleable bugs now? :roll:
This also would not be specific to ScummVM.

Some people mix up "explaining" with "talking slowly and loudly". It's a typical behaviour found with many tourists, too: When visiting a foreign country, they tend to talk in their own native language to everybody, thinking that they surely will be understood if they only do it slowly and loudly ... :-).

Anyway: yes we understood that it was on by default (*we* aren't dumb, afte rall).
But its not a bug in your driver, its a feature -- just one you happen to dislike but other people may like it and anyway you can turn it off, can't you?

Gee.
