don't know how to start

Post by Takajo »

Hi I just downloaded Scummvm and do not knwo how to start a game. Downloaded main app and a couple of games at the market. Launch the game, and cannot find a game in my SD card. I am sure games are downloaded in the card. But not in Scummvm folder, and do not know where. I also tried to download apk file separately, then locate it in download folder, but this doesn't work either. This is the very first time I touch this game and... am I missing something? I am using Novo7 running under 2.3.4.

As far as I am aware, no ScummVM compatible games are on the Android market. It isn't designed to play Android games if that is what you are trying to do. The games which are supported on ScummVM are listed here:

What game is it you are trying to run in ScummVM?

Those are not games, but game engines. Now you need to buy the actual games. Saga is "Inherit the Earth" which could be bought at http://wyrmkeep.com and "I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream" which is I believe still available from Harlan Ellison store. SCUMM supports nuber of games like Moneky Island, Sam & Max and others, the best source for them is eBay.

I'm afraid not. There are a few free games on the downloads page of this website that you can copy to your android and play using ScummVM. (As long as you download the plugin for that game off the Android marketplace.) http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/#extras
