OS: Windows XP
ScummVM: 1.2.0svn52398 (Aug 26 2010 17:36:10)

Game is completable as fighter, no major issues, and character imports successfully into QFG2EGA.

However it fails to import into AGD's QFG2VGA :(

As I was kindly informed, you will need to extract the .sav file (7zip works) in order to use it in the normal Sierra interpreter or the AGDI version.

Yes, save files in ScummVM are gzip'd, so any tool that can handle them should work.

Thanks! It works! :) Is there any process I need to do once I finish QFG2VGA to get my character into QFG3? Do I g-zip it again, or will ScummVM support the save directly? Are there any special formats/settings? (Don't know g-zip, but ZipGenius extracted it just fine).

It should work as is, as long you as add the prefix 'qfg2-' to the filename. Check the pop-up dialogue when you import into QFG3.

G-Zip is short for GNU Zip. It's an open source compression doo-dad for Linux/Unix based systems.

So, seems like most games have been tested and there's only really one or two "Major" game-stopping bugs left. Does this mean a release is imminent, or is there still much more polishing to do?

Most of the current open bugs are really difficult to track down and solve. I guess it will take some time. I'm also currently playing through King's Quest 4 early by myself and found 2 quite complicated bugs already (gladly both of them are already resolved).

It also seems that we got some bigger music issues with Larry 2 early.
