Bah, you screwed me up there. The link is correct, but the text you wrote is not. I don't use the links when filling in the wiki field, just the bug number. I didn't think EcoQuest had anything to do with "MP under cytokinesis" :P
 Sorry about that!

I've given the floppy version of KQ5 a try (I like to pretend that the awful CD version never existed). Here are the results:

Game: King's Quest V
Game Version: Floppy, DOS, English
ScummVM Version: 1.2.0svn51527
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (MacBook 5,2)

Problems:
The game is currently not completable, due to bug 3037594.
I also found a minor graphic glitch during the intro (bug 3037578).
Also, while looking around the forest (before killing the witch, since I can't finish the desert), I encountered bug 3034714, which therefore seems to affect both the CD and floppy versions.

I was testing Space Quest 4 (floppy version), and running it at the same on DosBox for comparison. I noticed that the original install gives the option of setting MT-32 with CMS SoundBlaster as audio devices. In DosBox, the music is played on the MT-32 and the sound effects are played from samples on the SoundBlaster, where in ScummVM they are both executed by the MT-32 emulator or MIDI device.

The effects are very different sounding, and I would like an option to play the samples using ScummVM. Should I file this as a bug report or as a feature request?

Game: King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella, SCI Remake
Game Version: Dos/English
ScummVM Version: 1.2.0Svn51505
OS: Windows 7 x64

Problems: Only came across bug 3037595, but it does not pertain to an action needed to finish the game. I used this walkthrough, so I can't say I came across all situations in the game (die all deaths and so on), but it's definitely completable with 100% game score.

By the way, I noticed the wiki article with the sci games list being tested lists "King's Quest IV (Old)". The old KQ4 is the AGI version, shouldn't it be off this list?

There are 2 SCI versions of King's Quest 4. That's what is meant by old and new KQ4.

Oh ok I was unaware of that. Then the completion report above pertains to version 1.006.004.

Game: Space Quest 5
Game Version: VGA Floppy/DOS/English (1997 Space Quest Collection)
ScummVM Version: 1.2.0svn51537 (Jul 31 2010 23:47:33)
Operating System: Windows XP

Problems:
Couple minor issues, and a bigger problem with the scrubber. But otherwise completable. :)

Workaround for the Scrubber issue (where you're supposed to clean the rotunda). Set the speed all the way down, this makes Roger more controllable. Then try to clean the rotunda in long straight lines without clicking too often. Seems the crash happens when you use a lot of short movements.

DOSBox will use whatever hardware is set in the RESOURCE.CFG, just like with real DOS. But of course, not all hardware options for any given game are necessarily supported by DOSBox. Very often, the MT-32 is selected as default in the RESOURCE.CFG.
