Kyra3 - Malcolm's Revenge don't work - How to use Kyra.dat?

Post by lanategra »

Hello,

I copy my original Kyrandia 3 - Malcolm's Revenge to Harddisk.
It's a Windows XP System, Version is:
The Legend of Kyrandia - Book Three GER (1994) PC CD-ROM
But ScummVM writes: Games seems to be unknown,
It reports:
"ONETIME.PAK", "3833ff312757b8e6147f464cca0a6587", 474840

I also download the Kyra.dat, but I don't know how to use the Kyra.dat.

Are you sure you copied all the necessary files? The checksum for ONETIME.PAK looks right to me, but as far as I can see ScummVM's also looking for WESTWOOD.001, which should be somewhere on your CD. (Though I only have the English version myself, and I don't have it within reach at the moment...)

Hello
and thanks for answer.

On the CD are the Folder:
CREATIVE
HOF_CD
HOF_INST
MALCOLM
SYSTEM
and some dats, one of them is: WESTWOOD.001

HOF is Kyrandia 2 Demo and Malcolm is the Game, may I install it first?

Take a look at http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Dataf ... 7s_Revenge. It will tell you all the files you need to copy off the CD to run the game. As far as I know they just need to be in the same folder.

I copied the WESTWOOD.001 and the KYRA.DAT into the Folder: Malcolm

And now i could choose Malcolm's Revenge to add.

It's German/Dos Version, but they spoke english, but maybe that's right in the German Version.

If it is possible to choose german as spoken language, please tell me how to do.

Thanks a lot!

Yes. The German versions have English speech and German subtitles (which are actually poorly translated).

Ok, thanks all.

The english dialogues are much more funny, as they would be in german i think ^^
