OK thanks.
Thanks for this release candidate. We could test it more seriously (+ people testing).

Why don't buzz for a great testing party in order to improve and improve this VERY GREAT project? :D

I terminated the OmniCorporation... hum sorry I mean I completed the Feeble Files. I never realized simulation games were so evils (although the Simon the Sorcerer Arcade game is not far behind).

ScummVM 1.0.0pre r43423. I saw one problem with backspace key not working when typing save game names (see bug #2838517) and it was fixed very quickly (I tested in r43499). No other problem noticed.

Tested on MacOS X 10.4 intel

Edit: Windows 2CD with original smk cut scenes (I also tested quickly with reencoded dxa+ogg)

*UPDATE* Kirben informed me that I used the railing in the wrong place, so the first bug tracker item (2842338) is not a bug, and the other bug is not a show stopper. I'll keep playing through the game. **

I'm playing Waxworks (Floppy/DOS/English) (the version from GOG.com) on ScummVM SVN 1.0.0pre043561 (August 20, 2009 22:34:52) on Windows XP.

When you load a game that is saved in the cemetery from elsewhere in the game, ScummVM closes. You have to be in the cemetery first to load a saved game saved in the cemetery.

I filed bug tracker item 2842339.

Let's Explore the Airport with Buzzy (Windows/English)
SVN Mac Intel build 1.0.0pre043629

Completable, no bugs. (The only thing I noticed was a few extra seconds of darkness between scenes. But I noticed that when it was on it's original platform.)

Maniac Mansion (V2/DOS/English) is completable on ScummVM SVN 1.0.0pre043561 (August 20, 2009 22:34:52) on Windows XP. The path I played was with the meteor's manuscript.

There were two bugs I noticed. One was already reported: "early collision with green tentacle" #1205445. In the other bug Purple tentacle shows up in the lab, stuck after Weird Ed chases him away. This happened after a cutscene with Dr. Fred and Purple Tentacle came up, after purple tentacle was already gone.

After that, he's stuck in the middle of the lab, but you can't interact with him.

Gold Rush! (the Amiga version from Back to the Roots) is completable on ScummVM SVN 1.0.0pre043629 (August 22, 2009 12:00:08) on Windows XP. The path I played was with the Panama route.

I noticed two bugs. One was already reported: "AGI GR: Screen updates handled wrong/unfinished", specifically I noticed point one in the mine where the screen went completely dark when the dialog box came up.

Also, if Jerrod falls off of the ladder, but lands on the ledge, you can move him, but he goes at an incredibly fast speed. And he is still in his ladder climbing position.

Freddi Fish 4 (English/Macintosh)
OSX Intel ScummVM 1.0.0pre043629

Completable, I only found one bug which I reported #2842752 but it doesn't affect completing the game.

Return to Zork demo

Post by Truus999 »

Maybe not the right place but my Return to Zork demo crashes ScummVM running winxp with sp3 and 1.0.0pre043663.

ScummVM just crashes back to the desktop. It used to work in a prior (and I don't know which) build.

Just tested ITE with yesterday's Daily Build. Worked properly except when the Orb falls down the dam, there are the character sprites of the normal game scene put over the the interface and inventory.

That's a known bug that also occurred in the original (see here). What platform did you test on? What version/language of ITE?

Spu Fox in cheese chase

Post by Truus999 »

Played the English/Us version on Win XP with SP3 and ScummVM 1.0.0pre043663.

I played 6 levels without any problems. I tested if the game kept your level and score after quitting and restarting.

I got a bug (showstopper) with creating new levels. I don't know if this is my fault or not but will log a bug report

Edit: typo

Freddi Fish 2 (Windows/English)
OSX Intel ScummVM 1.0.0pre043629

Completable, but there is some freezing in between some scenes.
