And btw, I don't think it has been mentioned yet:
The re-release will be for both PC and XBox 360.
The Telltale-games will be for PC and WiiWare.
I think, today I just refound some respect for LucasArts :)

I guess the Speech Project will need to focus on Monkey Island 2 again, if Lucasarts doesn't beat them to the punch again.

This is great news btw... And also for PC great, great, great, I can't wait!

WIN WIN WIN WIN

Four out of five WINs because Ron Gilbert isn't there.....

But BIG plus for getting the voice actors for Guybrush and Elaine from COMI! Also Michael Land is doing the soundtrack!

This is too much!
Well, while Ron isn't directly involved, he was at Telltale headequarters for a few days and gave them directions. Also those people have worked on pretty much everything MI, so I trust it will be good.
Read this awesome blog post by Ron Gilbert for more details:

And the FAQs at Telltale:

One thing I'm also interested in: In the video on the MI remake page, someone says they worked with the original code, and also there is a feature, that you can seamlessly switch between old and new graphics. So, do you think, this thing runs on an updated Scumm engine?
Yeah, I just read the blog about it on Ron's website. Back to 5 out of 5 WINs!

I just watched the E3 trailers. This is so full of win that I can hardly await getting my hands on that game :)
