Compression issues

I'm trying to compress Monkey island 3 to put on my wii, but whenever i try to use Compress_scumm_bun or compress_scumm_san i get an error

The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction
CS:0ddc IP:0272 OP:63 72 69 70 74 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

is there any other way of doing this? or another version of the program i can use.. i've tried it on my computer and laptop with no luck

NTVDM? Isn't that for running old 16-bit programs? I can't imagine that would apply to any of the ScummVM programs. The compression programs run lame.exe, oggenc.exe or flac.exe to do the actual compression though, so I guess it could be one of those.

I was using Lame.. maybe i'll look for a newer version or try one of the alternatives.

edit: an updated version of lame seems to have done the trick, thanks for steering me in the right direction.
