All the inane chatter goes in here. If you're curious about whether we will support a game, post HERE not in General Discussion :)

Mojo forums "Soundtrack Island" support?

Post by Who'sThere »

Will the soundtrack island tracks ever possibly be supported? - http://s-island.mixnmojo.com/index.php

After asking around on the Mojo forums there, 's-island' informed me that his tracks weren't endorsed by Lucasarts, but that with the older static MIDI soundtrack games it could work.

Is it technically possible for someone to add support for alternative soundtracks for non iMUSE games?

No. iMUSE does several tricks with music, which can't be substituted with digital audio tracks

You can't, I think the floppy edition uses iMuse...

But I'm not sure, you could try to direct the Extras Path to a folder with the audiotracks.

I don't think so. Unless I'm mistaken, iMUSE first appeared in Monkey Island 2, and that was released after Loom. So I guess ScummVM could use audio files instead of the game's own music, but as far as I know it doesn't.

For Loom, I maintain that the best music recordings can be found in any respectable music store, since it's all from the Swan Lake ballet. :)

Right you are. Still can't use your own tracks.
