target_md5?

Post by Nemesis »

I try to start Loom FM Towns with German Patch.

The md5 ScummVM shows while trying to start is not the same as the pinned topic shows.

And furthermore it says "Magic game id not found", what does that mean?

Also I want to ask if it is possible to send the target_md5 through the command line.

That's because ScummVM shows the real md5 of the patched german fmtowns version when you start the game, while the target_md5 value has to be the md5 of the original unmodified English version.

That it is not the original English game, but patched.

Yes, use like this: scummvm --target_md5=PlaceOriginalUnmodifiedMD5Here

Thx, seems it is not fm towns but CD or whatever. It tried some Md5s of the Documentation page. Now it works.

edit: the commandline option does not work, it seems it is not included.

Oops, I just assumed it exists.

Well, I think a command line option for target_md5 might be a good idea after all......( suggest  )
