Problem with saving/loading full throttle

Post by Ecliptikz »

I've just gotten the game to work with ScummVM but sometimes, when I go to save the game just crashes. same thing if i try to load a saved game, it either freezes or crashes  Any tips or suggestions? Perhaps I need a specific save destination or could something else be causing the problem? Thanks in advance

hmmmm.....

which version of scummvm are you using?

do you get any error messages?

whats your save path in scummvm options?

have you copied all necessary files to hard disk?

I'm using the latest version, all of the files have been copied and my save directory is C:\scummvm_savegames

Now, It either freezes/crashes when I save game or freezes/crashes when I attempt to load a saved game

weird...

first thing i would do: use a new clean config file

so delete or rename your scummvm.ini file and give it another try

which latest version? latest stable or daily build? stable should work fine

btw. which plattform?

???

are you sure you're in the right folder?

....

well, then search for it, open "my computer", right-click on drive c (if c is your system partition), in the context menu click "search" and search for the file... it has to be somewhere....

in the search window, open "advanced options" and activate "search systemfolders" and "search hidden elements"

don't know if these are exactly the right words, my windoof is german....

do you see the folder "documents&settings\username\applicationdata" in explorer? normally it's hidden. if you don't, you have to activate "show all files & folder" in explorer -> "extras", "folder options", "view". Activate "show systemfolder content", too.

if you then STILL don't find the file, your pc is doomed.

I found the .ini in the C:\Documents and Settings\Myusername\Application Data\ScummVM now that I chose to view hidden files :]
Now, what should I do with it, Edit or delete and restart ScummVM?
