Strange versions of Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken

Hi. Recently, I have found this on youtube. Does anyone know the games at 0:20 and 0:42? I've never seen these before. The first one looks like a cheap Asian fan game and the second one like another vga remake of Zak. Any experts around?

0:20 is MM Famicom Japanese
0:42 is Zak FM-Towns

The first one you ask about is the Japanese NES version of Maniac Mansion, made like a year before the western release. The mysterious Zak one appears to be that unofficial Zak sequel from a few years ago.

0:42 is Zak 2 (the sequel made by LucasFan, based on Zak FMT)
0:52 is Zak FMT

Hi!

Sorry to bother you guys again but something is really strange about 0:42. I've downloaded all versions of the mentioned fangame and all of them use backgrounds from the FM-Towns version! Look here. I've asked that youtube user about the game but didn't get a response. Could it be some kind of rare or unreleased vga dos version?

Yeah, you're right.

@Theo -- No, it's the FM-Towns version's graphics. The new adventures one is the fan game that uses its images
