Of course, you also can buy the CD version. Back then, burning CDs (and even CD images on hard disk) was that expensive usually publishers didn't bother implementing any copy protection in the CD versions (and fortunately some still don't).
In the case of Simon the Sourcerer, the games are still sould for a reasonable price. Also the Simon CDs are full talkie.

Just thought I'd ask.
Yes, since it could cause legal issues, if copy protection was disabled in ScummVM, without permission from the developer/publisher. You should always be sure the copy protection details are included, before buying any old DOS games.
Hmmm. I read the readme, and noticed how you managed to obtain an ok from Wyrmkeep to disable protection in Inherit The Earth. I take it Adventuresoft said no in comparison? :(

Sorry to sound really annoying here, but did Adventuresoft deny you permission, or have you yet to ask them about it? :?

I am very curious:

If 0.8.1 would be released, would it include the md5 based game detection for simon also?

The gamepc/gsptr30 and tbllist data files aren't listed, I expect there is an extra '.' at the end of the filenames in this case.

This is a known issue, just remove the extra '.' at the end of these filenames for now.

Where can a patch for the czech fan translation be found? and it is still in active development?

I will only add fan translations, if patches are available for the original version of game.

It is just a translation of TEXTxx and GAMEPC files. Without changes in EXE/MUx files.

I added all games from the multilanguage (french, hebrew, italian, spanish) simon1 version, but scummvm didn't find the Italian version:

bot sure why some files comes up twice.

Looking at the source, there is already an md5 for this but that is probably the windows version.
