secret of monkey island - no sound

hi, having downloaded the latest scumm, I can get sound working fine out of monkey 2 and monkey 3, but irritatingly, no sound at all from the very first one - secret of monkey island. I have searched this forum but cannot find the answers I seek.
(I am on xp-pro)

1. I have MONKEY.000 and MONKEY.001 in the folder, along with the RESOURCE subfolder. the sounds are all ogg format and are called things like NEWBOOTS.OGG and opening.ogg, but they seem to be from monkey 2. please can someone tell me what the names of the sound files are for monkey 1, so i can see if i have them. (and also where to get them from, if possible)

2. I seem to recall the sound not starting immediately - for example, does the "sparkle" over the LUCAS logo have a noise attached to it? if not, where exactly does the sound start, and what is the first thing guybrush says?

This is getting to be a real irritation ! I would appreciate some help. thanks.

i put the cd in and for some reason it made it work... :-/

Rip the audio tracks from the CD and name them track1.mp3, track2.mp3 etc.
