A port for the old EPOC5

Post by Premium » Thu Nov 24, 2005 12:23 am

Hi people, I've seen in the FAQ that the old psion 5 MX is not suitable for a port of SCUMMVM due to its limited cpu and memory, but what about the psion Netbook or seven? With an ARM processor at 190 MHz and 32 or 64 MB of ram it should be able to cope with it.

Is there any major change required to make this port to epoc5 compared to the s60 port?? In principle I think all the tools are there... but I've never programmed for my psion, so maybe I'm way off.

You would need new sound driver code, new screen driver code etc and other updates where the version of Symbian OS might differ. As for performance it should be enough witht he 200 MHZ in it.
