Hello,
is it possible to add more on-screen buttons on the display?
To skip cutscenes I always have to open the ScummVM keyboard to get the Esc key.
The older versions of ScummVM allowed to add custom buttons.
I noted that pressing for a longer time skips the cutscenes.
But the option for adding custom buttons on the screen would still be useful.

Re: Additional On-Screen controls
I personally wish there was a dedicated "keyboard" button to press in addition to "tap and hold the control icon" or "tap and hold on screen with three fingers", which is always slower... but anyway! You can try this little trick; the "go backwards" arrow of the Android's own GUI, the own that comes up at the bottom of the screen, is usually mapped to ESC, or, to be more precise, that arrow and ESC are usually both mapped to "Skip". You can try to press it to get that effect. (swiping "up" to get it to show, and/or accidently having it appear when I'm doing something at the top of the screen, has often made me wish I could turn off FullScreen mode so they would always be present instead of self-hiding. Ah well)
Personally, I almost always hijack some keybindings. Going onto the mapper for a particular game, finding a mapping that says "Esc" is mapped to it and adding "middle mouse button" (3-finger tap) is ace. I can also do a 2-finger scroll up or down, and map something to it, which was really very handy for the dialog options in Blazing Dragons. (slightly off-subject, when I start playing a LucasArts game, literally the first thing I do is go to the keymapper and map "Left Click" to "skip line" alongside with "." .)
I hope these tricks help you in the absence of more features!
