I tried the newest 2026.1.0 relase and can't get it working from a USB drive. Seems to work fine from an SD card, games also have to be on the SD card.
The previous 2.9.0 relase works good via USB. I can't even manually browse to or select USB storage options when successfully loaded from an SD card. This seems to be the case for the Daily builds as well.
Is there a configuration change that I need to make or update?
USB support not working?!?!

Re: USB support not working?!?!
I test every release with my old Wii. When ScummVM is launched from an SD card via the Homebrew Channel or the ScummVM Channel, I can easily access my USB hard drive and launch and play games. I can simulate the same behavior with the Dolphin Emulator. From my end, I haven't noticed any problems or changes in behavior compared to ScummVM 2.9.0.
How do you launch ScummVM directly from a USB stick?

Re: USB support not working?!?!
Thanks. I currently have ScummVM 2.9.0 loading from the Homebew Channel. It's installed on a USB drive with ScummVM located in the /APPS/ScummVM folder. I have NO SD card in the system at all, everything is located on the USB drive, the ScummVM program and the games. It all works fine.
I have created a new folder /APPS/ScummVM2026 for the newest release. It shows up and does load, but then brings me to the old school green and black themed ScummVM interface and I can not browse the USB drive to add games or correct the ScummVM Theme. I can properly exit ScummVM, then selected and load 2.9.0 and it continues to work.
In case the folder has to be specific, I put the newest relase in the /APPS/ScummVM folder and renamed the 2.9.0 release to /APPS/ScummVM-OLD/ It then broke both of them?!?!?!?!
I then reformatted the drive, installed only the newest release in the /APPS/ScummVM folder and it does indeed now work fine. Can two relases be installed and working at the same time????? I've not done further testing, but would in the future like to have the current relase and the daily WIP both available and working.
Thanks for the Wii release. It's very much appreciated.

Re: USB support not working?!?!
Every version of ScummVM expects its program files and configuration file to be located in the path: "/apps/scummvm". Unfortunately, I don't have a convenient solution for you.
Re: USB support not working?!?!
There is definitely a bug with USB support, although it is not exclusive to the latest version. I have also encountered it 2.9.0 and prior versions. Launching the app from USB renders it in the classic black and green interface, as it is unable to read any of the theme files in the folder. Launching the app from SD works, however it is impossible to browse to the usb:// directory (navigating all the way up only shows sd://).
I have found a workaround to this issue. By launching the boot.elf through USB Loader GX instead of the Homebrew Channel, the app is able to find usb://. I was then able to add games from a folder under this directory and run them as expected. What's interesting is that after having done so, loading the app through the Homebew Channel now works as it should, and I am able to find my usb:// through this method as well.
I'm surprised that launching a homebrew app under USB Loader GX and Homebrew Channel results in a different execution, especially considering that the Homebrew Channel is the standard way of launching homebrew.
