HI all,
I started looking at writing a utility to scan through your online purchases (mainly GOG for now, Steam later - only platforms that have a steampipe client), download them after giving your account details, and handle all the ISO filesystems, base64 encoded files in installers etc to extract the files. I have a bit of free time to continue it now (in hospital after getting a plate put in my knee), and would like to continue it.
I remember a few years ago there was a project to store file checksums and details in a DB, and there appears to be a more recent one (?) here - https://blogs.scummvm.org/shivangnagta/ ... inal-blog/, so I'd either like to link to this. Whether that's in the form of storing GOG and/or Steam ID's in there, or just keeping a reference to the data that's already there in my local DB I'm not sure.
Any ideas on which way to go? Code is currently Python/wxPython, but may switch to C++/Qt as the latter seems to have overtaken the former in terms of platform support e.g. RISC OS and Haiku.
Thanks,
Dave.
