I been trying for days to figure out where the save files for Monkey Island 1 (CD PC version) is stored on my Android phone. I started out playing a "non-talkie" version of Mi1, but decided I want to continue the game on the talkie-version. I currently have both GOG version and the old CD version on my Android. But I cant locate the save files anywhere.
I read that people refer to various locations (on Android too) for save files. I tried to look in the only folder referring to ScummVM (/Storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.scummvm.scummvm), but no files is visible. I even turned hidden System files on. There are other paths leading to a ScummVM folder, but essential leading to the very same folder anyway. Still empty.
"Save path" in Game settings (ScummVM) i set to "default".
ScummVM version is 2.8.1.1. And my phone is running Android 12.
Perhaps the save files between different MI versions is not compatible? Even when saved through ScummVM?
My last resort is to find save files from GOG. But I have no idea where to find it.
Even its not possible to transfer save files. It would be nice to be able to have a backup of my save files.
Any help?

Re: Monkey Island: Save files on Android?
If you're using the default saved games path, the ScummVM app will store your saved games in its internal app storage. This is done mainly because this storage space is always guaranteed to be available for an application.
Saved games inside the default Save Path get the added benefit that they can be synched with the ScummVM Cloud feature, so a quick way to back them up would be to setup the Cloud feature, enable it and let it transfer your games to your Cloud storage.
https://docs.scummvm.org/en/latest/settings/cloud.html
The actual full internal path for the application's storage may differ from device to device. It's also normal that you can't browse that space with a third party / other application, due to strict access policies enforced by the Android OS.
You can navigate to the application's internal (and external) storage folders by using the ScummVM file browser -- like when adding a game or locating a soundfont file etc. On the top level of the ScummVM file browser there are folder shortcuts; the "ScummVM data (Internal)" will lead you to ScummVM app's internal storage, where you should see a "saves" subfolder with your saved games.
Other than using the Cloud Feature, you could also use the ScummVM LAN feature, where you set your device as a temporary file server in your LAN (eg. Home network), which you can access from another LAN device (eg. a PC) using a web browser. If you enable the LAN for ScummVM and set the "Root path" to be inside the "ScummVM data (Internal)" location, then using a web browser from a remote device in your LAN you could browse and download the files within the "saves" folder.
https://docs.scummvm.org/en/latest/use_scummvm/LAN.html
Note: Keep in mind that anything that resides in an applications internal (or external) storage path will be deleted if you uninstall the application. ("External" here still means storage space for the application typically still allocated from the device's integrated memory/storage and not eg. your SD Card).
