I already tried to contact CD PROJEKT a few months back, sadly I recieved no response to my email.

I contacted Agnieszka Wasilewska however there are more contacts available on this link

http://www.cdprojekt.com/contact.asp

a final contact can actually be found here on a whois lookup for the CD PROJEKT domain

http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/r ... rojekt.com

Rob

I wont post emails directly in the forum so If you want them look at the links.

I guess they could be more responsive by a direct phone call.

Any volunteer that knows magyar (the hungarian language, spoken in Hungary and minorities over countries like Romania due to the old Kingdom of Hungary) out there? :)

I know a guy from Hungary, I will try to locate it and see if he can ask them.

*coughs* Why Magyar? CD Projekt and Metropolis are Polish companies so they should speak Polish not Magyar.

Exactly.

I just phoned to METROPOLIS SOFTWARE. The problem is that guy who knows everything about legal status of their products is... on vacation. Maybe after this weekend.

Yes.

What information will you need?

Legal status (freeware or abandonware), engine...

Something else?

I can only guess, but:
- engine allowed to be reverse engineered? (does it hurt to ask that?)
- source code available?
- which versions (language, revisions) exist?

Not very much, and not to speak. I used to be involved with the Wintermute community and a chunk of the developers were Polish so I picked just enough to be able to tell them off for swearing in the IRC channel. ;-) Well a little more than that, but you get the picture.

I only speak English fluently (just because it's my native language means nothing judging by the number of people I meet everyday who can't speak it), and very basic conversational Japanese, Dutch, and German.

Not for me (im not a dev), but there might be interested devs if they release the game officially as freeware and release the source code for future addition to ScummVM.

Others companies did the same...

Edit: Sorry, the question was to Largo. I forgot to specify it.

Yes you will be wanting to contact the Polish office, simply because metropolis software house was actually only taken over by CD PROJEKT in february of this year. Maybe there are still the original employees?

As far as I know there were only English and Polish versions produced.

It might help speaking to a ScummVM dev who has had dealings with game companies for source code.

If source code can be retreived I'd love to get my hands dirty in it.

Ok I have found definitive proof that Teenagent is freeware. At least polish CD version.

Game is available here:

http://gry.wp.pl/filtr;1,0;x;gra,48,603 ... ;core.html

WP is the second largest Polish web portal. It is a reliable source.

I also found out that there are versions in four languages:

- Polish (floppy disk version, CD version)
- English (floppy disk)
- Czech (floppy disk)
- Slovak (floppy disk)

Some progress

They will answer me tomorrow (e-mail).

I made another phone call. A guy on the other end said that it is possible to work on Teenagent but... There are still some conditions.

He also told me that they were in contact with SCUMM developer couple years ago. But everything was moving SLOOOOOOOOOWLY and nothing came out of it.

Who is ready to work on this game and finish the job?

And people from SCUMMVM must contact with this guys personaly to ask them about these conditions.

Hmm -- I am not aware of anybody from the ScummVM uttering interest to work on this... But maybe I just missed it?
