LucasArts Posters - The better thread

All the inane chatter goes in here. If you're curious about whether we will support a game, post HERE not in General Discussion :)

No it isn't. That game would've sucked. It wasn't planned as an adventure and LA knew they'd be disappointing fans with it which is why it was canceled.

Sam & Max 2 on the other hand...

Right now I'm working on this:

I've rebuild the sky, I've rebuild the road and I've rebuild the logo with higher quality flames. Though maybe I should use the original logo as an alternative as well. I'm even thinking about "enhancing" the explosion a bit, but maybe that goes too far. I'm not even sure about the composition, as there's so much empty space. I guess I'll do another version with the framing used on the box.

That is looking amazing.. I really cant wait to see this one :)

what materials source are you using for it?

also if you are worried about empty spaces, I think a version of the box has the gas tower on it.. :?

Well, if you find a version with the gas tower... gimme!

My only sources were my manual and my game-box. Oh, and for the logo I used the MojoArts-scan (since my box only had the German logo). The rest (fire, asphalt, stars) were taken from Google or CGtextures.net.

Edit:
Nevermind about the gas tower, found a cover, and even better than that: found the in-game screenshot that was used as a template. I'll try to add it.

Edit 2:

Nah, I don't like it. Sure, it fills the empty space, but just by covering up the sky. Plus, I'd lose the silhouette of the wheel, which I want to keep.

I rather like the new explosion, but it should have a few more bigger flamebubles to make it loke more explosion-y and a little more cartoonish.

Well, I love the way it looks now. Specially the new logo (it fits in even better than the original).

Hi there, just wanted to write that all of your work is really amazing. Please keep it up.
Bout the FT poster: I really like your modifications. Logo and flames are looking great.
One question: What about the second DIG poster you worked on?
Are you continuing work on this one as well? I'm asking, cause this would be the best chance to get one of your posters into my flat. (Sadly my girlfriend didn't like the idea of a MI poster in the living room at all ;) )
Once more, really great work.
Greetings

Yeah, "The Dig" is still on the list. I can't give a time frame, as I usually just work on these posters when I feel like it.

I've added 6 "Full Throttle"-posters to the opening post. Enjoy!
