I downloaded and tried the newest version but the same problem persists.

MemoryMgr.c, Line:3823, Non-word-aligned handle

The version info on the GUI says Build: Dec 31 2005 19:15:06 though. Isn't that generated automatically? Maybe there was a little mixup when uploading the zip file.

A new OS5 test version is out ! This version is supposed to be much more stable than previous version, but it use advanced undocumented function and so it may not work on some devices. Please let me know.

Hi!

The new version works great, but the lockup with the MP3 compressed MONSTER.SO3 on my Treo still happens...

new test version of Friday 13th (?!?)

Post by crazyoboist »

hello crilith,
just tried to test the new version of friday 13th (?!?)...
At first I saw the frontend, chose my favourite game Indiana Jones IV
and then...
I am sorry to tell you that it said "fatal exception" and got me a reset.
bad luck for me, so I have to return to version 0.8.0 for today.
But -as you surely know- I said to myself: never give up! never surrender!
so I will try the next test version, ok?
best wishes from germany

Just checked: On my Tungsten C the latest version (06-01-13) is able to run atlantis (Indiana Jones IV, German version) well. So it does not seem to affect all devices or versions of the game.

Hi crilith,
I have got a clie NX73v

memory: sony memorystick pro 256 mb

dynamic: free 3878 total 4069
storage: free 3558 total 11263
stack size free - total 3

Palm OS V5.00d Build0

How do I find out the version of atlantis?

Indiana Jones IV, German version, as goetz posted on sunday morning
do I have to free up more memory?
Maybe I have to remove the old version first?
I just copied the scummvm.engine in the /mods/folder and installed the scummvm-frontend.prc and skinpdb of 13th of january via hotsync...
let´s see what comes next...
maybe I will clean up my clie, try it out and then re-install my backup with backupman...
thanks for your hepl!
bye,

I don't think the ARM test version works on Sony devices. This will be next part of my work. Sorry

Hello Chrilith

You really do a great job.
On my lifedrive, bass starts good, but when I do an action, it reboots and the only message I get is "FatalException".

How frustrating!!

Hi crilith,
I also think you are doing a great job !!!
So if the ARM test version will not work (yet...) on sony devices,
I have to return to version 0.8.0, wich runs perfectly on my clie.
But I will watch out for new test versions!
So let us have a B I G "Cheers" for crilith and his work !!!
Thanks a lot!

The version info on the GUI says Build: Dec 31 2005 19:15:06 though. Isn't that generated automatically? Maybe there was a little mixup when uploading the zip file.
Jan. 13 version still doesn't work on my TE2 with the exact same error message as before(non-word-aligned handle). I ran it with the direct mode(no preconfigured games). It DOES work if I have 20MB (out of 32MB) or more free storage space on my onboard flash memory. But, as soon as I install some apps it stops working. Since my "essential" apps that I absolutely need on my Palm exceed 12MB, I won't be able to run ScummVM with my other stuff on anytime soon. Does ScummVM really need that much free onboard storage in order to run?

As I've already said, amount of free on-board flash *should not matter*.

Try using an app called DBCache Tool to free your DBCache before running ScummVM.

I have uploaded a new version of the scumm engine (located in the OS5/Test folder) which implement the old sound code from v0.7.1 version. Let me know if it is stable for you with and without MP3

thanks
