scummVM 0.10.0 / Tungsten T5 / LSL1 - save broken

Post by Madmanguruman »

scummVM seems to be installed correctly - LSL1 files are on my SD card, program and skin are in memory, I've set up the LSL1 entry, get the game selection screen and can play just fine.

The problem: select 'Save' from the top menu, pick a slot (0 for example), pick a description, press 'Do as I say!' and the 'Game saved.' message appears.

Select 'Restore' from the top menu after having done this, and no save games appear in the list. Trying to restore from slot 0, as per out previous example, gives 'Error restoring game.'

It's also a bad idea to hit the 'Boss Key' when no games are saved - you have to reset the Palm to get out of scummVM.

Any advice?

I also noticed the following in the scumm.log file created in my ScummVM SD-card folder:

Using configuration file: /PALM/Programs/ScummVM/scummvm.ini

Odd that the game itself reports that the save was successful, but behind the scenes that's not the case...

Unintuitively, a save path *must* be specified in the scummvm.ini file, else saving seemingly does not work (despite the game reporting that the save was successful). This is a bug in my estimation.
