Depending on which forum you read, it's either coming very soon, or not at all. They no longer provide an SDK for version 1.0 so building for that version is not an option.
Hiya,

Yep I'm in Oz too and still stuck on v1.0 which seems a bit buggy and slow :(

I'm not sure if they are ever going to roll out an update over here.

Couldn't you flash 1.2 manually with Multiloader from http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-s8500.htm ?

OK - I've flashed my phone to the European BADA version 1.2. All seems to be working fine. I used the "Elders guide to upgrading from Bada 1.0 to Bada 1.2" found here:
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1628493 with the additional step of selecting the FOTA file under MultiLoader. I really appreciate Nokia now...

Basically the correct flashing to force upgrade to bada 1.2 (didn't know some countries were still left behind, shame on Samsung) is:

- flashing JID fw (a so called "full" fw)
- and then KA1 (a "lite")

Remember you have to reset the code for your country after the JID flash using *#5239870*# and then (“Pre-configuration”) *#27236*#... For example in Italy we select "ITV" for the de-branded versions. You can find the 'Samsung official letter codes' here:
http://samfirmware.webs.com/samsunglettercode.htm (scroll down in the page)

That's all.

1.2 has better email sync, and a lot of bug-fixes with some nice touch of class...

Hope now the development will be more funny! ;)

P.S.
I've read the latest SDK 2.x + emulator for the upcoming bada 2.0 rocks!

Don't forget double-tap == left/right-mouse-button-switch emulation for intuitive controls in games...
