GBA port

Post by valgonzarp »

Hello,

Does anyone know what happened to the GBA port? Last traces of it are among ScummVM news archives, dated 2002... Guess it died for some reason? Any chances for revival?

The GBA generally just doesn't have enough memory to run ScummVM.

Look into a DS :)

If there's a NES version on the road... maybe a gba version is possible
But i don't know which games can run with only 256k of ram....

This is the engine that runs the NES version of Maniac Mansion, not a port of ScummVM to the NES (which would be quite a difficult task to achieve).

Lol i misunderstood :D
effectively i thought that is was impossible to run scumm on a NES, with a few cart space and with a few ram.
It ran slow on my 200 MHz smartphone

The only engine that will run on the GBA is the AGI engine. GBAGI works pretty well. You could also use PocketNES and run the NES version of Maniac Mansion or Kings Quest. But that's about it.[/url]
