When I speak to Faye the text goes by really fast. Infact all of the conversations happen at a speed much faster than on my old computer. Which makes a bit of sense to me, as this PC is much faster.

My questions is, is there a way to slow down emulation so it is easier to actually read the conversations? It is hard to enjoy this little demo with the text flying by so quickly.

I checked in the ScummVM 1.0.0 options but saw nothing about emulation speed.

I would have said "use the journal", but apparently that's not possible in the demo. But you should still be able to use the "Edit game..." button in the ScummVM launcher dialog to change the "Subtitle speed" setting (on the Audio tab).

some how i missed that option! thanks!!

the little interview game is odd. i can't figure out if you can do anything with the baseball bat, bananna, and the little statue. it seems like there should be more to it then just all of the conversation.
