ScummVM 0.8.1 replacing older version

I have had ScummVM installed on my older Win98SE Comp for quite some time. In the past I'd change to the latest version simply by replacing the files (Windows zipfile version) with no problems.

On my newer Win XP machine I used the Windows Installer (version 0.8.0).



What I would like to know (please) is should I uninstall 0.80 or would it work ok if I replaced it with the newer 0.81 just by replacing the files?
And if I did so would the uninstaller still work for version 0.81 or later?

Or can you simply install over the older version like you can with other programs like CloneDVD2 (they actually suggest you do it that way)?

you can just install it over the old files I think
ScummVM isn't that complicated to set up, the file names stayed the same, so you can just overwrite the old .exe / .dll etc
