Can't change volume in MI1

Hello,
I can't change the volume in Monkey Island 1 : the option value can be changed but the volume level remains the same ; I can change it in MI2 and 3, and I have the last version of scummvm.
Is it normal ? Otherwise, what can I do ?

If it's one of the floppy versions, maybe it's this old bug report.

You can, of course, use the operating system's mixer settings, or adjust the volume on your speakers, but from within ScummVM itself... I'm not sure.
