Monkey Island I just Midi no CD Sound

Post by drake008 »

Well I got my MI1 now and the problem is that it plays only the mt-32 sound or ablib. He doesn't use the fla files I made. What could be the problem here?

Also is it possible to have Soundeffects and MT32 or GM Music emulation?

It sounds like you have the floppy version of the game, not the CD version.

But from where did he got the .fla files he made then?

@drake008

Could you list the files in your MI1 drawer, please (complete with size and maybe md5sums?)?

and so, since you obviously do not own the cd-version of the game, this forum can no longer support you. Forum Rule #0.

OK, thanks!

And about the piracy thing. Of course I got some versions on old C64 disks or Amiga, hence I got Maniac Mansion on the NES Original. But some are there which I couldn't get. Like the CD Version of Indy3 or other language versions. But I think thats OK to have some downloaded ones when you got at least one copy of the game on another system.

Don't you think so, too?

unfortunately LucasArt's legal division doesn't think so, so it's not really an issue. ScummVM does not give support for copied games no matter what.

Then they should bring those games on sale again. Especially The Dig could need HD Video sequences and a surround soundtrack. That's also for Full Throttle.

problem is, LucasArts doesn't really like their old games anymore, only StarWars and Indy in glorious euphoria..

so you're saying you own the original english cd-version with audio tracks AND the german floppy (cd)-version without audio tracks ?

you can patch the englisch version with audio-tracks into german.

search google for lucas arts patches... second search result should help you.
