does any body have the problem of the game crashing at the same point time and time again? at the same command

That's really not helping

Which version of FOA are you running? CD or Floppy? Which platform? PC or something else? Which OS? Windows, Linux...?

Also, what do you mean by "game crashing at the same point"?
Which point is that?

@deaffeet: Are you using a pirated version of FOA? This has occured in the past with a "bad" pirated version - seems a datafile is corrupted in this one, and it's not ScummVM's fault

no it is original i have been past this point once
but have started from start twice and both times at the balloon
scummvm just shuts down

well it could still be data corruption as md5 has suggested. So if you have the original, you could always try re-copying the game to the hard drive.
