Those are nice suggestions and you may help here. I.e. get tools/scumm-md5.txt file and sort it in this manner, then submit back to us and we will generate web page from it.

Would editing in WordPad be ok?

I don't know if saving with it would change the linefeeds used?

I'm starting right now,but it could take me till tomorrow to finish it.

Would you suggest en, de, es, fr, it a good order?

I think en should be first always, then I sort languages by alphabet.

Should I sort the platform by alphabet?

Eg 3do, all, dos, mac, win?

Please suggest now, I plan to start right away....

Lenefeeds aren't a problem.

Yes, en first and then sort by alphabet.

As of plarforms, All should be first and then sort them.

I'm almost finished now.

Sorting hirarchy goes from left to right.

I chose to stay with the existing sorting.

All, Dos, Win, Mac, Amiga, Atari, the rest....

Can I upload the file using yousendit and post it here?

Actually I just re-sorted already, as I didn't noticed other replies.

The variant field is left blank for Full Throttle versions, as it should be eventually updated to list which are Version A & B.

I sorted by platform name, followed by language name.

I really reworked the list completely.

Maybe you like it.

Please tell me what you think....

Well, the language sorting still is not consistent everywhere...

Still I'd suggest en,de,es,fr,hb,it,ru,

Also, the datafiles of the monkey2 games are all floppy, there is no CD version for mi2 from that point of view....

Best regards

Well I sorted by the actual language name (ie English, French, Hebrew, Italian, Russian Spanish), so it is currently en, fr, hb, it, ru, es.

Where it is still mixed? keep in mind, it is sorted by variant and platform, before language.

Already changed all DOS versions of monkey2 to floppy, on the last update.

For Sam&Max you still have German before French, if I understand sorting by full language name.

Also, I would replace Non-Talkie by Floppy for Indy4 and S&M, as you already do for DOTT.

Then sort it Floppy first, then CD Talkie...

Also, I wouldn't sort Maniac (Dott) seperately, since it is logically some sortbof "Alt"

Best regards& Thanks for the re-sort!

Edit: I was already writing this post before I saw yours....

I added all your suggestions to md5 list.

I just removed Talkie and only use Floppy and CD for FOA, DOTT & and Sam & Max now. Since the floppy versions actually have speech in their introductions too.

Thanks, kirben, this really looks great!
I hope you're also happy with my suggestions.

I still have some little suggestions to make, I know I'm picky....

For monkey vga amiga german, the sorting is not consistent...

Would it be possible to add somithing like vga or cd for monkey mac also?

Is it possible to make loom talkie/cd consistent? Either just call it CD or call it and others CD Talkie.

Also, pushing up the last s&m demo to the top would be consistent with other demo's sorting....

Demo (non-interactive) DOS en d9d0dd93d16ab4dec55cabc2b86bbd17 samnmax
Demo (WIP) DOS en 0e4c5d54a0ad4b26132e78b5ea76642a samnmax
Demo DOS en c3196c5349e53e387aaff1533d95e53a samnmax

Last suggestion: Remove "Alt" when it doesn't actually mean anything...
Who or what decides, what's "Alt"
Edit: You may disregard the last suggestion if you like...

Edit2:
Also, maybe stating Floppy for the Loom demo is not necessary. It isn't necessary at least for other demos who have full floppy/cd versions...

I have to thank you again, kirben.

The new list looks great!

Best regards

Changed, as requested.

Demo DOS en c3196c5349e53e387aaff1533d95e53a samnmax
The demos are initially ordered by platform, so the bundled Mac. version is listed last and won't be changed.
joachimeberhard wrote: Last suggestion: Remove "Alt" when it doesn't actually mean anything...

The 'Alt' is added to make it clear there are multiple releases, it is added when we don't know the exact difference and won't be changed.

I changed Loom to EGA and VGA versions, to make it clearer.

This really looks great, differencing loom between ega/vga is really better.

I didn't mean to push up the Sam&Max Mac demos up, but rather the last Dos demo:

Instead of

Demo (non-interactive) DOS en d9d0dd93d16ab4dec55cabc2b86bbd17 samnmax
Demo (WIP) DOS en 0e4c5d54a0ad4b26132e78b5ea76642a samnmax
Demo DOS en c3196c5349e53e387aaff1533d95e53a samnmax

sort like:

Demo DOS en c3196c5349e53e387aaff1533d95e53a samnmax
Demo (non-interactive) DOS en d9d0dd93d16ab4dec55cabc2b86bbd17 samnmax
Demo (WIP) DOS en 0e4c5d54a0ad4b26132e78b5ea76642a samnmax

To make it consistent with:

Demo DOS en 98744fe66ff730e8c2b3b1f58803ab0b atlantis Simon Krumrein, sev
Demo (non-interactive) DOS en 99b6f822b0b2612415407865438697d6 atlantis

Also, I'd suggest to abbreviate one of the following targets also as "alt" until there is more information.

Floppy DOS it 69ea626f1f87eecb78ea0d6c6b983a1d monkey2 Andrea Petrucci
Floppy DOS it bd126753de619a495f9f22adc951c8d5 monkey2 Andrea Petrucci

Floppy Amiga de 4f267a901719623de7dde83e47d5b474 atlantis ghoostkilla
Floppy Amiga de e534d29afb3c6e0ee9dc3d53c5956714 atlantis Tobias Fleischer

Floppy Mac en d6dd0646404768a63e963891a96daadd atlantis Fingolfin
Floppy Mac en 06b187468113f9ae5a400b148a847fac atlantis Lars N sbye Christensen

Many thanks for this great new list!

You've really done a great job!

Sorry, to point out more issues, but the He-sorting still isn't consistent in many places....Here just one example, but there are quite many...

Actually that example is consistent, as it is Dutch, English and Russian.

I added the other suggestions.
