Unknown The Dig problem

My copy of The Dig has been acting funny for the past few weeks.

Every now and then when it either cuts to a cutscene of to another room, the music stutters and it starts to slow down I don't why its doing this and was wondering would anyone have any ideas how to resolve the problem

I Have 0.8.2 if thats any help and I checked the disc for any scratches just incase because I now play it off there because I tried it even when the files are on my Hard Drive and its still did the same affect.
